my preferred method is to group the terms

One method of factoring a polynomial is by grouping. When facing a polynomial with four terms and no common factors, my preferred method is to group the terms. The first two terms of a polynomial will be grouped together, and the last two terms would be as well. For example, number 38 in the homework: I began by grouping the terms and factoring them out. Once the equation is factored you simply set the terms equal to zero, the result will be your zeros.
