Factor a Polynomial by Grouping

Grouping is when you put together like terms to further simplify a problem, which may sometimes need for a problem to be rewritten. Once rewritten, certain signs may be changed to keep the form of the problem like a minus sign before a group may require a plus sign in the term to be changed to a minus so when returned to its original form will be positive. After this, the common factor is taken out from both terms and what should be with are two groups with one of the same term and two separate number. The problem should then be rewritten with the same term once and the separate numbers will be placed together in parenthesis as another term. If the problem doesn’t have squares or cubes, then that is the simplest form of the problem, and if it has, factor out the difference to get the simplest form.
